During the 70s and 80s Yamaha owned Everett and the Everett factory in Michigan. They produced Yamaha pianos under the Everett name. In the 80s, Yamaha brand recognition and respect was fulfilled in
the U.S. so Yamaha no longer needed to sell their pianos under the Everett name. It's one of the few Yamaha console pianos you can get with the high-end old-growth sitka spruce sound board. Has excellent tone and resonance.
